It was a month before Halloween and I was sitting on my favorite bench at school studing my potions book when i heard a faint thudding noise.
But it was very quiet so i ignored it. Then it got louder louder, before i could see what it was it ran over me!
All of my things went flying everywhere...
When I sat up, still a little dizzy, I saw some one running twords me. So, temporairly forgeting about my dizzyness, I stood up, staggering a little bit, and fixed my appearance. Although it would do nothing... I know everyone thinks im ugly...And a freak...(author's note: i disagree sally is the most beautiful thing in halloween town!)
When the person came into veiw, i realized it was jack the pumpking prince. "Oh! Hello Jack!" I greeted him with a warm smile like always. Jack and I have been friends ever since.... Well, to be honest, we've been friends forever! But ever since the incident in fifth grade....
-flashback-
It was the day before winter break started and we were having our class party. Our teacher even put up mistle-toe as a joke and some kids actually kissed under it. Somehow Jack and I ended up under it and he kissed me. For him it was no big deal, but for me.....Well lets just say i was in a trance for the rest of the day...

Ever since then I've always wanted to be more, but he doesn't see me that way... "Hello, Sally." he smiled at me.
"What was that stampede?" I asked while gathering my things. "Oh you know just the girls who want to be my.... my...-" "Your what?" I asked. He muttered something so low i couldn't hear it. "I'm sorry what was that?" I asked grabbing my stuff from him.
"Lemme put it this way," he started."I"m gonna be king. So i need a queen. The winner everybody in school votes for is not only gonna be prom queen but also ....My wife. Got it?" I nodded, and without thinking i grabbed my stuff, ran to the sign up sheet, and signed my name at the bottom of the list.
